ActAware ... The Power of Change
Have you ever dreamt of a magic megaphone that allows you to reach all those who care and are ready to act? A tool that enables you to mobilise those who care but do not know how to act? With ActAware this is no more just a dream.
So what is it all about?
ActAware is all about uniting voices for justice and liberty. We believe that unity is the real power to make this world a better place to live.
And how does it work?
The desktop alert software is the core of the actaware project. Once you download and install the software you will be able to receive action alerts requiring immidiate or quick action from your side. By clicking on the alert you get redirected to a webpage containing further details about he action required. It can't be simpler!
What actions alerts to be expected?
Actions can range from voting in an online poll to participating in a public demonstration. If an action concerns only the people of one region we won't disturb you unless it's your region. You will expect action alerts related -but not limited- to the following causes:
-Civil Liberties
-Racism
-Poverty
-Palestine
-Iraq
-Chechnya
-Darfur
-Aids
-Climate Change
Who support ActAware?
ActAware is currently in the trial phase. This phase is supported and sponsored by the Federation of Student Islamic Societies in the UK and Ireland (FOSIS). Soon other organisations will join as supporters of the project once it is officially launched.
